These Verbs Are Making Me Crazy!!!
Many students are confused by the number of English verb forms. Many grammar books don't make it any easier. This is partly due to the practice of referring to complex verbs as a certain tense. For instance, the verb have been teaching is called the present perfect tense. Well, this is somewhat true. However, some students think that perfect is a type of tense, but it is NOT a tense. The following chart and descriptions will hopefully clear up some confusions you may have with verb tenses and when to use the appropriate verb form.
